Please don't misuse these scripts all these are copyrighted. Download,read,understand and start preparing your own idea as a script. When u see from outside short film making will be very easy but once u start to write a script u will come to know the prob. Sometimes it may take a yr for only preparing a script. So after reading my previous post u may have got some idea about short film making. If i have time i will post something about the different cams available at a cheap cost for shooting a short film. Screenplay Guru's like Syd field, Robert McKee will take classes and charge u so much of money even if u follow these books u can gain same knowledge about screen writing. Hi Friends,how to make a short film is our topic today. Short film making is a very creative process and also a complicated thing even though it may look easy from outside. For instance to write a script for a 30 minutes length movie the writer should able to engage audience completely with his story telling ability. For that there will be a main plot means the basic theme are agenda of the movie. Side by side there will be sub plots which may not be caught by the audience while the film is in the progress. To design all these one should have so much of patience. Some times writer may be in a dilemma about the way he is approaching for the story so the possible way would be a SHORT FILM.
What is A short Film Is All About
Simple, basically short films are aimed to reveal the talent in a individual i.e u make a big commercial film it should have a strong producer, good cinematographer etc., for all these it need so much of money and time and man power. But to make a short film Only few things are needed.They are
- Nice story with effective screenplay
- Handy Cam if Possible HD cam
- Artists who are enthuse about acting in films
- Editing software (U may use Window Movie Maker to)
- Music is of your choice u may mix the music clips which u already possess else u can go for your friend and record with a recording software.
The main heart of a short film is story that will be in your hands. If your short film come out good that will give u so much of self confidence. And u may even use it as a plot for your full length story. So friends write a crisp story and make a short film. The only thing to remember is Time span of a short film should not exceed 10 minutes,at least if u have an idea to send to a short film festival. Max time span would be 20min. I will give u related pdf's which are helpful to understand what a short film is about.
A five day Short films and Documentary film festival will be organized in Hyderabad from September 24th to 28th, 2010. The festival will take place at Ravindra Bharati every day between 3.00 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. It is being conducted by the Hyderabad Film Club in association with Andhra Pradesh State Film Television and Theater Development Corporation Limited.
Entries are open for the festival. The deadline for receiving applications and preview material is 10th September, 2010.
There will be a National Level competition for short and documentaries, animation and campus films produced by students. There will also be special sections focusing on issues, themes, countries and the works of filmmakers. Foreign short and documentary films too would be shown as part of the festival.
Hyderabad Film Club is a voluntary organization which was founded in March 1974. It has also conducted two international film festivals (HIFF) in 2007 and 2008 in Hyderabad. For more details regarding the festival and submissions.
